Who Is Alex Popescu?

I am a 14 year-old aspiring elite junior golfer from Williamsburg, Virginia. My daily goal is to be the best person I can, at home, at school, and on the golf course. If I can get a little bit better in life each day, I think I'm doing pretty well.  

 

I live with my Mom and Dad, my sister, and our two rescue dogs.  I love dogs in general and especially rescue dogs.  I think dogs (and really any pets/animals) really add value and love to our lives. 

 

I am 6'3" and 180 pounds.

 

I am currently a freshman and have a 3.8 GPA. My favorite subject in school is English. I think an interesting major in college might be something in Business.

 

I am a Christian. I have my own relationship with God and my Savior Jesus Christ.

 

Aside from golf, I like to spend time with my friends and family, spend as much time as I can outside hiking and exploring, and playing just about any sport or game, such as basketball, table tennis, and cornhole. 

 

I love to travel.  I was lucky to have the opportunity to travel all over Europe and Asia.  My favorite spots that I have traveled to are: Hvar (Croatia), Yala (Sri Lanka), the Maldives, Mallorca (Spain), Krakow (Poland), Rome (Italy), Skocjan Caves (Slovenia), and Transylvania (Romania).  My favorite city in the world is Barcelona, Spain. 

 

My favorite food usually revolves around meat.  I like steak, buffalo wings, and grilled chicken.  I also like Italian and Mexican.

 

I like all types of music. I feel like I know just as much about music from the 70's and 80's because of my Dad as I do about the current music scene.

 

My ideal day would be to go to the golf course for most of the day, then come home and spend time with my family and friends, eat some good food, and then have down time to rest.
